" I immensely enjoyed it. We have learnt so much — from how to take care of the nib and other calligraphy tools (and the secret powers of potatoes), to how to move your hand and tilt your sheet when writing, to what calligraphy pens and nibs options are available, to what paper is best to write on, to what specialised books to read to further a beginner’s knowledge — and of course, we practised the calligraphy writing for 2.5 hours. Just thinking of how relaxed, funny and friendly the atmosphere of the class was… Besides feeling like Santa was present (the room decorations were beautiful), there was a lot of laughter in between pure writing concentration and sampling plentiful cakes and teas. Yup, one of the best workshops I ever went to!
I should mention Sandra was one of my classmates from 5 years ago and her talent for calligraphy is pretty obvious. She also came across very knowledgable and very natural as a teacher (I would never guessed that this class was her first ever one!). The world is a happier place when you surround yourself with inspirational human beings!
Here’s to art, smiles and friendships! "

" I was quite sceptical about the calligraphy lesson since my handwriting isn’t very impressive, but I thought I will give it a try. After all I always wanted to learn about hand lettering and I was happy to get a chance to do that. Attending the class I was convinced that it will be super complicated, but thanks to Sanrda and her guidence and few easy exercises I was able to write quite confidently. You might say that there are so many books and tutorials out there, but I’m a strong believer that certain crafts should be learned from another human being. Attending a class you can be sure that Sandra will explain techniques of handling a calligraphy pen and give you a hand when needed. She will also tell you how to prep your nibs, advise you on which paper to choose and how to prep the ink, when you want to write on regular paper. And you will have plenty of time to exercise yourself too. The class takes 3 hours (believe me -time flies when you’re in good company ;)). You will meet people from the design world as well as some passionates. And do I need to mention that there is coffee/tea waiting for you?!? I highly recommend attending Sandra’s Fernando Calligraphy class. You will definitely spend nice time in great company and at the end of the 2.5-hour-class you’ll be quite confident about your ability in hand lettering. "

" After taking a bit of persuading to come, I was more than glad I did. Sandra's passion and knowledge of her craft made for a very enjoyable experience! Everything was really well thought through and we were even presented with materials at the end to further our skill set. Highly recommended!. "

" Thank you so much for a wonderful workshop! It was so fun, and even though the workshop was 2 and a half hours long, the time flew by! It was so exciting to be able to write a Christmas phrase in Modern Calligraphy - thanks for being a great teacher :)
Can't wait to show off my new skills! "

" I really enjoyed the workshop hosted by Sandra. As soon as i walked in, I instantly felt at ease and my excitement at the laid table, Christmas decorations, music and sweet treats couldn't be contained.
On the table Sandra supplied us with all the necessary tools - paper, ink, calligraphy pen and nib and guides within our own personalised folders. These little touches were really nice to see and receive!
This was my first calligraphy lesson and I had no idea what to expect. The class was delightful and everyone got along well.
Sandra spent time with each and everyone of us, giving us recommendations and advice on how we could make our writing
flow better. She was super helpful and if we had any issues she was there to help. Even post workshop she sent us emails with further information around learning modern calligraphy. This definitely won't be my last lesson in modern calligraphy."

"Had a lovely time, Sandra was warm and welcoming and an excellent calligraphy teacher. The tools, techniques and best practices were shared and explained well. As a result, I felt much more confident by the end of the lesson and began to figure out my own style and begin to get a grasp on the key basics. Would recommend to anyone in the mood to learn something new and
feel totally relaxed whilst doing it."
